About

Dennis Roth is a fine art photographer from the coast of Massachusetts Bay. His work uses the visual world as material to express his personal esthetics of composition and color, desire and harmony, as forged over a lifetime love affair with art, especially as represented by mid-century painting in America.

Dennis has practiced architecture for fifty years, has been taking pictures for sixty years and has been visiting museums for almost seventy (has mother having taken him to the Cleveland Museum of Art at age 4).  Important to him are Pieter de Hooch, Fox Talbot, Manet, Monet, Caillebotte, Bonnard, Vuillard, Matisse, Hoffman, Rothko, Kelly, Johns, Martin, Weston and Porter, among others; a list subject to change with the weather.
